Small press publishing is a distinctive and rich area of UK arts. It includes artists’ books, editions, ephemera, magazines, fine press books, poetry pamphlets and zines. The Small Publishers Fair is an annual snapshot of some of the best in UK small press publishing alongside a selection of international colleagues.

The Fair was started in 2002 and quickly became a cornerstone for small press communities. Through the Fair, and through this archive and blog, Small Publishers Fair aims to raise awareness of UK small press publishing, its history and its international connections and influences.
